He is getting closer to completion. I've finished all the major work but seem to receive the bits I need with 1-2 days apart. Running out checking the post all the time hahaha... I just want to finish!
Anyway, he is primed and painted. Had to prime him on a windy roof top which was quite interesting. Got there in the end though, so all is good.
I decided to go for a mint green and pastel pink colour as I wanted him to be sort of flowery.
The colours also worked really well with the fur I'd chosen for him...
He's now sitting just above me as I work and it is highly annoying as all I want to do is to finish him. I hate waiting for post! Want it all NOOOOW! *grumpy face*

Galaxy, Buggles and Pigeons...
I am trying to finish this lot off as well. All the Buggles I started ages ago. The Buggles in the shop are now sold out so I thought it'd be about time I put up some more. So in a few days they will be available for you guys. I will let you know and make a nice little post with all of them together.
Also, in this hot weather birds are really struggling out there to find water! Loads of birds are dying, but you can help out. It is as simple as this. Just put a Tupperware box or a bucket of water (not to deep, we don't want them drowning whilst trying to help) out for the birds to drink out of and to take a bath in. We're enjoying company every day from these two, and yesterday there was 5! of them. All in the box at once! It goes to show how desperate they are for water. So help our fellow bird friends out! It's so simple! ^.^

The Snow Colossus: Making of pt. 1
Yesterday I finally made a start on the Snow Colossus. I've been looking forward to this so much. This sculpture will be quite big and I am using techniques I have only read about. So this is a massive challenge. This is how far I've come and this is how far it will be done for a while now. I need to get sand to go inside him as he will be too top heavy when I attach his face and antlers. I also need to find good antlers still, which has proven quite hard. There is plenty of them out there but none of them have the perfect shape. Maybe I will just have to settle with something "less" perfect. I am just so picky!
Anyway, here is the making of the Snow Colossus part one! Hope you'll enjoy even though he looks more like something a little bit naughty at the moment ;) lol
