NOO-CHI...

Remember Mon-Chi? Well this is the third addition to the Pouch Yeti range. This is Noo-Chi! You will be able to buy him from my stall at MCM London. He won't be available in the Tomo Shop just yet, simply because I've ran out of fabric. I have to order my fabric from Swansea and have it shipped to Bournemouth now so I can't get new fabric as quick as before. But I promise, as soon as I get more fabric he will be available in the Tomo shop as well.

Hope you like him!

The past week...

The past week has been busy indeed. I finally have all the time I need to work on Tomo. I get deeper and deeper into the world of my own business and I love every hour, every minute and every second of it. I decided about three months ago that I would never make iPod cases again. This was when I got overwhelmed with work. I had to many cases to do and along with that I had a degree to finish. It wasn't fun any more and I thought that it was not worth it. So I stopped, and focused on my degree instead. I realize first now that it wasn't the fact that I had to many cases to do, but the fact that I had to finish my degree that took the fun out of what I normally loved doing. I have now made 6 new ipod case designs and also had a few orders through and I love making them again and all of a sudden I have decided to focus really hard on making these a success. I feel that they are very original, but not only that, the love and dedication that goes in to these little sweeties is beyond anything I've experienced before. I hope it doesn't sound crazy, but each one of them holds a special place in my heart. And it is that feeling that has made me realize that I could do this for the rest of my life and probably be the happiest woman on earth.

I have pushed Tomo allot since I finished my degree and I have now managed to get in to two shops, one local business here in Swansea, and an online business too. I will tell you more about it once the items are up in the online shop and I want to take some photos of the shop that supplies my jewellery in town. So there will be a whole blog entry about that next week at some point.

Anyway, there will be more ipod cases in the next coming month. Right now I've got all the fur and felt I need, but I am waiting for two orders, one from Asia and one from America. I have ordered tuns of lovely safety eyes in many vibrant colours. I seriously can't find a good wholesaler here in the UK so I have no other choice but to turn to other countries.

I also have other plans, which will be announced once all my orders have been delivered to me.

Alsooooo I've designed new packaging for the iPod/iPhone cases. I don't know when I'll be able to have them made up but hopefully in not to long. Here is the design anyway, front and back:

Hope you like it!

Hotcher and Flyn...

Today Hotcher and Flyn has joined the Tomo Yeti Family. I just adore these two and it was great to work with top quality fur. I am staying to quite earthy colours, I don't know why really, but they are more appealing to me and it is really hard to find good quality fur that is colourful over here. I've become much pickier with the fur I use and I don't think that is making it any easier to find colourful pieces. But I am sure I will come across something one day, until then I will stick with these thick and super soft furs. Hope you like em'!

Wabbitz...

In the middle of Yeti making, jewellery assembling and major project stressing, along with getting everything ready for Bristol Comic Expo, I apparently thought that I didn't have enough to do. So I made some Wabbitz charms! I am scared that my table will look empty at the convention ( only got 20 different necklace designs, 50 yetis, 7 different hair-clip designs, bookmarks, business cards, portfolio and 40 Wabbitz ) maybe I should stop before I cook myself. Oh and I made a cool cover for the table as well....... I think I have over done it, but I can't stop until I am finished. It is my first convention after all, it is only normal to be super excited, yeah?

Design spree...

I have been on a designing spree over the past few days. I want to get as much sorted as possible before it is time for Bristol Comic Expo. So I've designed a new package for all my goodies, that will be with me in a few days. And I got a batch of hair-clips coming from America as well. I can't order the new charms just yet though due to funds. But I thought I'd get everything ready so that I can just send it all off once I get my money. So there will be another 7 (!) necklaces designs (along with the 5 here so 12 all in all) coming, hair-clips, earrings and a little surprise as a limited edition for the expo. I won't announce the surprise until a week before the expo though and the surprise will be available at the Bristol Comic Expo only (if I don't sell them all they will go up on Etsy after the expo). I can't wait to go now. I know that it is about 2 months away, but I am really looking forward to it. It will be my first PROPER Comic Expo, since I didn't have my own table at Cardiff, and that makes it a little bit  more exciting. I booked the table today by the way so we will definitely be coming!!!

Cardiff Comic Expo Day 2 and New Necklaces in store...

Day 2 at the Cardiff Comic Expo was even better than the first one. Yet again I didn't get the chance to walk around to have a good look and get some more photos. I tried getting some photos of whatever happened in front of the stall, but yeah these are all the photos I have :'( At least Dr Who is in one of them haha... And to all of you that were dressed up, WOW! So much work must have gone in to your costumes, they were truly amazing. And I loved the Cos Parade on the Saturday, you're all so darn cute!

This Comic Expo went so well that we've decided to go to Bristol in May as well. I will come back with more info on that once we got our booking sorted out properly. I am already looking forward to it and there will be more accessories than just necklaces this time. Stay tuned!

And, all the necklaces you could find in our stall at Cardiff Comic Expo are now availabe online as well. Just click the necklace you're interested in and it will bring you to the shop section. Thanks again to all of you!

Here's the little advert I was playing at the Expo as well if anyone is interested:

Cardiff Comic Expo, Day 1...

This week might have seemed a bit quieter than the past ones. The reason for this is that I've been preparing for Cardiff Comic Expo. I've been assembling necklaces and charms like a mad woman. I got them all done in the end, with a little help from my boyfriend.
I have now finished my first day at the Expo, and I have had a great time. Sold quite allot of necklaces so I am super happy with that. The atmosphere at the Expo is just amazing. Everyone is so happy and in their right element. I love watching all the cosplayers and artists and I wonder why I have never been to a comic con before. There will definitely be more in the future, and I also find it a great way to promote your business. Here are some photos of my little corner. I didn't have the chance to walk around the expo much, A; because I had my own things to tend to and B; because it was more or less impossible to get out from behind the both once you were in hahaha. I hope I'll be able to get you come nicer photos after tomorrow. And also, these necklaces will be up in the shop on Monday.
Didn't have any room left to have my portfolio on display so these three had to hang on the front of the table hehe
And to keep myself occupied and not fall asleep I was doing some doodling in my notebook hehe... I was so tired in the end, there is so much to take in, even though you just sit in one spot the whole time.
Anyway, I had a great day and am really looking forward to tomorrow. Thanks to all of you who stopped by my spot and bought my necklaces, there is no words for how much I appreciate it!

Sleepless Night...

So, yesterday was my birthday, and a great one. My boyfriend was super sweet and made me breakfast in bed and gave me lovely presents and a yummy cake. It seems I've eaten to much cake to be able to sleep. I got out of bed at 3.00 and I am still up and it is getting close to 5.00. I am really tired but for some reason I can't sleep. So, I decided to upload my next Yeti Necklace. I am to tired to come up with a name for him so I just called him Yeti Head (oooh how creative of me...) I think that'll do for now though. You can find him in my Etsy shop as usual. Now I'm going back to bed and hopefully I won't sleep today away and mess up my sleeping pattern again. I just fixed it and I do NOT want to go back to bad sleeping habits... Niight! Or should I say Morning? hmmm....

Meet Tomo...

I have spent all night redoing this blog, Tomo's deviantart and Etsy. I've wanted to give Tomo a face for a while now and decided to take one of the charms I designed the other day and make a mascot out of him. So yeah this is Tomo. He will be the face of Tomo from now on and I am really happy with the new logo and how darn cute he looks. Been a while since I worked in Photoshop now since the crafting have been taking up most of my time. This took me about 3 hours to paint and I am very happy with him. I think he is the perfect spokes "person" for Tomo. He is cute, squidgy, clueless and just loveable, and that is all you need to be a great spokes Yeti I reckon.

Fi-Fi...

Here's Fi-Fi! Next up in the line of necklaces. I find it super hard to photograph these little sweeties. The photos don't do them justice at all. Looks like I have to look in to getting a better camera after all. Gonna take a while though, can't believe how expensive they are. Anyway, Fi-Fi is up in my Etsy shop now!

Good and Bad...

Yeah things are going up and down, not because things are working bad with Tomo, no it works so well that it is killing me lol! Just kidding! Tomo is working great and I love every second of it. The only problem is that my uni-work is suffering, and that on the other hand is not good at all. So I have come to some decisions. Since I've got more jewellery on its way I will fill Tomo's Etsy shop with those instead and for now I will stop making the iPhone/iPod cases. FOR NOW! They will be back once I've finished Uni. So in June at some point they will be back in store. The necklaces don't take me half as long to assemble as a yeti case for example, so they are much more suited for part time work.

Anyway, Tomo's first necklace hit the store yesterday, his name is Frostbite and he is super duper cute! You can find him in my Etsy shop. Soooooooo happy with these little charms. So happy that I went ahead and made another 5 designs and ordered 100 of them. Check em' out!
Also, next weekend I'm going to Cardiff Comic Expo, and there I was supposed to promote my cases but since I've decided to pause the production I will be selling these badboys instead. I don't have many, only about 20 /design so if you're planning on going if you're in the UK area then hurry up to my booth! I am going with my Uni so you will find me at the Swansea Metropolitan University table. I will be there both Saturday and Sunday.

Yeti IPAD cases...

I had my first iPad order the other day and thought I should put up a special listing just for iPads. I thought that if people wanted iPad cases they'd just convo me about it, but I don't think that is the case. So now there is a listing for iPad on its own up on Etsy. You can find it here! So if you want a cute Yeti case for you iPad you now know where to find it! YEEEEEEEY!

Toothless...

It has been a very looooong day! This little fella has given me grief all day but now he is finally finished. The paint haven't dried yet though as you might see on the close-up hehe. Anyway, this is Toothless, the dragon from "How to train your dragon" and he is my first custom order. It as nice to have something new to do and also great with a challenge, cause it really was a challenge. There is black fluff all over my apartment now and there was times where I nearly gave up. It is just so hard to work with all the tiny bits and pieces that goes in to something like this. If it was for an iPad or something similar it'd probably been easier. Although, I am very very happy with the final result and I hope the buyer will be too. Now I got 2 more yetis to make and another custom order, a big Igor for an iPad. Seem today will be a late one. Hoped to have at least 3 done by now hahaha....
Ah well time to clean up the mess and carry on.... (make another mess).
By the way, sorry that I haven't uploaded anything new this week. I have just been to busy to make anything new. But hopefully the necklaces will be here soon...

Timetable...

My orders have picked up so much that I need to start a timetable to get my university work in there as well. I will have to get up at 07.00 every morning *sigh* and do my Tomo orders till 10.00. Then I have to go for a shower and get ready and then sit down in front of the computer and do uni work till 17.00. After that I can check my orders and answer to any emails until 19.00 and after that I need my own time. Everything has been intruding on my spare time as well so I don't seem to have any at all. I am very tired and I think if I continue this way I will end up burning myself out one day. So better sort myself out before that day comes.

Anyway, as Tomo grows I want to bring in some more goods. I am in the midst of designing Yeti vinyl charms/necklaces at the moment. I have only made one so far, but here is a little sneak peak...

Baby BooBoo...

This is BooBoo! I am making a new range of Yeties. Baby Yeties! I thought they'd look really cute and they did. So here's the first one. His name is BooBoo and he is a super happy little thing. Most baby Yetis are super happy, thats why they grow up to be so grumpy. They just use all that happiness when they're babies. Poor things....
BooBoo is available in my Etsy shop as always.
