Datchis here, Datchis there, Datchis EVERYWHERE!

Good Morning peoples! I've spent the past two days making these little sweeties. I spend a whole day designing them and probably a whole day photographing them. I wanted something a little bit different from Tomodachi Islands normal Yeties so I decided to make a Yeti/Owling hybrid. So these are the Datchis!

 I started out with some rough drawings as I always do when it comes to designing new phone sleeves. They more or less always come out very differently from the drawings but it is good to know what you're doing before you set out cutting and sewing.

Once that is done I draw up the patterns I'm going to need. I keep a little box in my crafting cupboard with loads of paper cuttings of old and new patterns. You never know when you might need to use them again.

And some fabric paint and we're all good to put these little cuties together... And here's how they came out:

And a little photo from yesterdays photo shoot. I an hurting today. It is not easy to crawl around on the floor trying to take nice pictures when you got a massive preggie belly in the way lol. But I think they came out alright in the end and also, the lounge has to the best natural light in the house. So it was worth it :D

My first Sculpture - The Turnip Thief

 This is my first EVER sculpture and I finished it two days ago. I am so happy with it and it has pushed me and an tested me on all levels. Not only that but it has given me a creative spark that is hard to describe. I think this is what I was always meant to do. It took me about a week to complete and I've been working on it more or less every day. I'm looking forward to making more of these in the future indeed, however it is very time consuming and not cheap but I don't care. I need to do more!

We decided to take him out for a photo shoot yesterday as I feel that this little creature is something special and need a special environment. The photos came out great and the Turnip Thief came alive in its forest surrounding. He also caught allot of peoples attention. One man came running up to my boyfriend with his camera ready shouting "Is it an OWL!" hahaha... I would love to hide in the forest and put this little fella down and watch peoples reactions for a day lol!

The Turnip Thief...

I have finally started my first furry sculpture. Started it all last night. The only thing that has held me back from starting on it is basically finding nice glass eyes to work with. But I have been stupid and I had the answer right under my nose the whole time. I do have glass domes that were meant for jewellery making, but since I have stopped the jewellery making I have lots of material just laying around. I painted my own eyes with acrylic anyway and I put the eye into a bit of Sculpey Clay and chucked it in the oven to see if the paint would be able to withstand the heat. And it DID! So started creating straight away. And this is how far I've come. I need to head off to work now and it is my boyfriends birthday today so I will not be doing any more work on this little cutie today but I think it will be finished in not too long. I will document the progress through instagram and in here as well.

Nichi Rabbit...

FINALLY! Something new for you guys! I am so happy that I finally found the time to make something new. There is allot I want to do but money is short on the ground at the moment, so I just have to take it a little step at a time. I am trying to save up for a big batch of new fabric that will be like nothing you have ever seen before. But I do need quite a bit of money to sort this out so trying to save.
Anyway this fabric I got a while back and I have one more case coming for you as well. However it didn't come out the way I wanted it to so I will get back to the drawing board today and see what changes I can make.

As for now this is Nichi in a Rabbit suit. I always loved Nichi's face and she has been very popular in the shop so I thought it was time for a little make-over. And after I did the Easter Buggle I fell in love with those cute rabbit ears so I thought that they would look super cute on a phone sleeve too. So here we are! Whitee Neck Pouch...

I had a custom order that I finished the other day. I thought this was a great idea of hers and it fits bigger devices such as Samsung Galaxy and similar. I think it would be a great option for people that haven't got the iPhone or iPod and I will be making these along with the rest of the designs in my shop in the future. I have to wait a bit though as I need more material and chords to be able to put them up. But in not to long they will be with us. Till then you just have to feast on these photos : B

BUGGLES FOR EVERYONE!

I have finally found the time to finish these Buggles off! There is still more to come but I have to make them a little bit at a time. I am truly sorry about the lack of updates lately and I hope that you don't give up on me. There has been allot going on around here and I am trying to settle in to working two jobs and to do Tomo at the same time. I have been sitting on my bum for the past three years, working in front of the computer or by my craft table so it is killing me to be on my feet all day now. I feel great though and it has given me soooo much for energy and I feel happy in general. I forgot to tell you, but I got the job at the Pet shop as well! Who would have thought?! So now I don't have to worry about my rent and bills any more cause my new jobs will pay for that. And what does this mean for Tomo?! Well let's just say that there will be a BUNCH of new phone sleeves coming in not to long. I have found an AMAZING fabric shop in America that sells gorgeous fabrics in tuns of different colours. I am just saving up at the moment so that I can order a big batch with different material. Oh I can't wait!

Enough about that. Here are the BUGGLES anyway. There is only a limited amount so go get yours before they run out! There is only ONE Pink Buggle and FOUR Brown Buggles. And when they're gone they are gone!

Custom Bumble...

Every now and then I get custom orders. Most of the time it is sleeves that customers want to have customized but this time someone wanted a Bumble Yeti looking like Flyn! I am always happy to take on custom orders. It always break things up a little and it is fun and refreshing to do things that look different from the norm. Over all I am really happy with the Flyn Bumble and I think his new owner will be super happy too!

The Love Bug Yeti...

Here is the LOVE BUG YETI! I think it is theeeee single cutest thing I have ever made. I think I will keep one for myself actually lol!

You just have to get one for Valentines day or give one or whatever, it is just to cute not to be given as a Valentines days gift.

I think I might make one in pink as well. What do you think?
