Drawings, drawings, drawings...

Happy Monday peoples! Here it is bank holiday today, so another day of rest.... For some anyway. I treat it as a normal working day and I have been working more or less all weekend. I started this pattern that you can see above about a week ago and yesterday I finished it. It was meant for a phone case but I think it is to detailed to come out nice on the actual case. I might make a test print at some point but for now I will keep it as it is. I think it would look cool on tiles funny enough.
I tried it with a black background and a white and I think I like the black the most. Reminds me of an old coffee tin jar.
Tiles for the kitchen maybe?
I've been drawing quite allot over the weekend. Just trying to get things off my mind and on to paper instead. They're a bit easier to handle once they're on paper. I don't have to think about them anymore then. I've been doing a lotus flower study and I want to create a real nice and floaty pattern out of them. I am thinking in the colours of maroon, mint green, yellow and pink. Need to do a study of the leaves tonight and get some more variations of the flowers in there too.
This little cutie I drew last night as well. It's been a long long time since I used markers, but I decided that just because one is in to graphic design must not everything be made on the computer. I thought it would make a nice addition to the MobiLOVE phone cases, and it look brilliant on the actual case.
Meow?!
You can get it for both iPhone 4/4S/5/5S and....
Samsung Galaxy S3/S4...
I am working hard on giving MobiLOVE an identity at the moment. Right now the shop is in one big mess as I am trying to make the change gradually. It is to much work to be done in one day, and I am still trying to find the right feel for it. I never thought it could be so hard to give something so simple an identity. But maaan I am struggling.
I am getting a bit closer everyday though and am trying to give it that hand-made feel. And with some rope, a glue gun and a bit of cardboard and a little help from my true companion the computer I think the new Logo looks mint!
What do you think? Does it give you that hand-made feel?
That is that for today. I've got a few orders to finish off today, and on Wednesday we're heading up to west Wales for a few days of rest and rehabilitation. I really need it... Just to get away from the madness of a busy Bournemouth. I can't wait for the silence and the bird song, fields as far as the eye can see and the sea. We're going out on the sea. It will be the first time for me on the actual sea here in the UK. I can't wait and I'll make sure to bring you some juicy pictures from my mini holiday.

New Logo and the Snow Colossus

Ello peeps! I've been working a bit on the re-branding of Tomo. Here is the new logo that I hope all of you will like. I've put allot more effort in to this than I usually do and I really struggled to sort it out. I am very happy with the final result though and hope that you are too. I've spent the last four days in bed as I went through an operation on Wednesday. I have been bored stupid and it's given me a creative boost now that I have moved myself from the bed to my chair. So, not only am I trying to finish this re-branding off but I've got tuns of ideas for new sculptures as well...
This is a sketch of my next sculpture, the Snow Colossus (whenever I can afford to start it I don't know). This is be a big one! I plan to make him really big so I need to save up allot of money. I've got the wire to start the base with, but it will take allot of sculpey so have to wait on that part. I'm also trying to find a matching pair of antlers which is very hard. I want them to be naturally shed so if you come by any please give me a shout. It is so hard to find since the roe-deer normally only sheds one antler at a time.

Anyway, I'm back to the drawing board. Got tuns more stuff for you in a few days time! OH! And also, we only have to wait for the internet for one week at our new place, not one MONTH as we originally thought! YEEEY!

Workstation and a little bit of everything...

Hi everyone! I thought I'd show you my new and improved work station. Not much has happened, but I am in love with my new bookcase. This bookcase is probably the single most perfect workstation bookcase there is!
Not only does it fit perfectly in to my little corner but it has room for ALL my toys and bits and bobs, and I haven't even filled it yet!
Some of those little cupboards are still empty...
And that is just great because it is where I keep all my fur and in hopefully not too long I will get tuns of new furs that I can fill my lovely bookcase with!
There is even room for all my little prototypes which normally just ended up in a box and were forgotten about.
Besides admiring my new bookcase I have been busy drawing. Do you remember that "project" I was talking about a while back? Well I am back on track with that I think it will look great ones it's all done. My boyfriend is helping to make it look extra swish and I have high hopes for this indeed.
Also got some new eyes through the post and will probably make something new and slightly creepy/cute out of these. I need to think about it a bit longer though. It was an impulse buy when I bought more Yoji noses.
Oh! And yesterday this little creature popped out of my mind. For a while now I have wanted to do something a little bit different. I don't know if I posses the knowledge yet but I will defienitly push myself to learn how to make plush sculptures. This will be my first project, however I still need some stuff to be able to start. I will keep you up to date on how things are going though :)
SQUEEE!

Love bugs and ladies...

I am working on a few things at the moment. I went through my fur boxes the the other day and found TUNS of scraps. Big scraps too. This is the funny thing working with fur. Since you always have to follow the way the fur runs, you end up with big fur pieces that you cant do anything with. But I am actually able to do something with the ones I found. I am making Love Bugs out of them! So I have been cutting like a crazy person over the weekend to get these little things going. There will only be a limited amount. Especially of the blue, yellow and pink, will only have one of each of these. I hope to finish them this week, unfortunately to late for valentines day, but a Love Bug Yeti works well for all occasions I think.
I started this yesterday. It just popped up in my head and I had to get my drawing kit out and sketch it up in the middle of Love Bug making. I think it will look great when its coloured. If I finish it that is. I tend not to finish much artwork these days as I am so busy with Tomo.

And a photo of a fraction of my Maneki Neko collection for good measures and a lucky week!
